The Laval Rocket are following the lead of their parent club, as they have announced that they have re-signed Nikita Jevpalovs to a one-year, one-way AHL contract.

Jevpalovs was an instant hit with the Rocket with his versatility and skill in a return to North America. The Latvian had 13 goals and 12 assists in 69 games for the Rocket last season, but he may be most known for his appearances on highlight reels.

His skill and attitude were highlights for anyone who was around the Rocket last season and he really was able to move up and down the lineup as needed.
Him returning to the Rocket is the latest in a number of moves made to solidify a base for a solid AHL club looking to return to the playoffs. The Canadiens recently re-signed captain Xavier Ouellet and Alex Belzile to NHL contracts, and also added Otto Leskinen to the organization.
