Alex Belzile to represent Laval Rocket at AHL All Star Game

The forward leads the Rocket in scoring.

Alex Belzile was named the Laval Rocket’s representative at the 2019 All-Star Game to be held in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Belzile leads the Rocket in scoring this season with six goals and 20 assists in 35 games so far this season. Belzile signed an AHL contract with the Rocket on July 1, and has been a steady veteran presence on a team that has seen its best players called up to the NHL.

The AHL All-Star Game festivities will take place January 27 and 28.

Belzile has played at the ECHL and AHL level since the 2012-13 season after spending three years in the QMJHL with the Rimouski Oceanic. The 27-year-old from Riviere-du-Loup, Quebec is a two-time Kelly Cup (ECHL championship) winner and has 34 goals and 56 assists in 180 career AHL games.
