We now know the final rankings of the men’s preliminary groups after the final day of action on Sunday.
Switzerland 4, Czechia 3 [OT] (Group A)
Switzerland clinched second spot in Group A with an overtime win over the Czechs. They will enter the qualification round as the #6 seed.
Filip Chlapik opened the scoring for the Czechs in the first period, but Switzerland came back with two goals in 1:44 from Roman Josi and Timo Meier.
Radim Simek and Pius Suter traded goals early in the third period, but then Martin Necas scored with 2:06 remaining to send the game to overtime.
Dean Kukan scored the overtime winner for the Swiss. Leonardo Genoni made 29 saves on 32 shots for the Swiss. Lukas Dostal made 25 saves for the Czechs.
Canada 10, France 2 (Group A)

Denmark 4, Latvia 2 (Group C)
Denmark pulled off a big win over Latvia in their final game. The Danes got off to a great start, with three goals in the first period. Nick Olesen scored 23 seconds into the game. Mikkel Aagaard and Nikolaj Ehlers scored the other goals.
Latvia fought back and made it a 3-2 game starting with a goal with 16 seconds left from Kristaps Roberts Zile on a delayed penalty. Eduards Tralmaks scored the other Latvian goal in the second period.
Olesen added a second goal into the empty net with 2:22 remaining.
Frederik Andersen made 33 saves on 35 shots for Denmark in the win. Latvia had Arturs Silovs in goal, and he made 17 saves on 20 shots.
United States 5, Germany 1 (Group C)
The first period was going on without a goal before Zach Werenski scored with nine seconds left in the frame to open the scoring.
After setting up the first goal, Auston Matthews scored to double the US lead on the power play and Brock Faber added another.
Tage Thompson added a goal while Matthews scored a second in the third period. Tim Stützle scored Germany’s lone goal.
Connor Hellebuyck made 23 saves for the United States. Germany started Maximillian Franzreb, making his first start of the tournament. He made 32 saves on 37 shots.
This result ensured that Canada would be the tournament’s top seed heading into the qualification round. The United States will be the 2 seed.
