2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Eastern Conference Final Game 4: Carolina Hurricanes vs. Florida Panthers

FLA leads 3-0

How to watch

Start time: 8:00 PM EDT / 5:00 PM PDT
In Canada: CBC, Sportsnet (English) TVA Sports (French)
In the U.S.: TNT, truTV
Streaming: Max, Sportsnet+

The third-round series in the east has been no contest as the Florida Panthers have won the opening three games by a combined score of 16-4, a 5-2 result the closest the Carolina Hurricanes have come to winning. Carolina dropped both games at home, collapsed with the score at 1-1 in the third period of Game 3 to give up five goals in the frame, and now takes zero confidence into tonight’s Game 4 that could end up being the last one it plays this season.

Rod Brind’Amour pointed to the fact that his star players haven’t stepped up, and rightly so. It has to be frustrating for everyone involved in running the organization that it made a move to address these scoring issues during the season by bringing in Mikko Rantanen, but are left only to wonder what could have been as they face a fourth consecutive sweep after making it to the NHL’s final four.

2025 Memorial Cup

Game 4: Moncton Wildcats vs. Medicine Hat Tigers

How to watch

Start time: 7:00 PM EDT / 4:00 PM PDT
In Canada: TSN (English), RDS (French)
Streaming: CHL TV, TSN+, RDS

The Wildcats coasted through the QMJHL playoffs, at least until they got down to one win left to go in the final series. Now in just their second game of the Memorial Cup, they need a win to avoid setting up a do-or-die showdown with a familiar foe in the host Rimouski Océanic in the final round-robin game.

Such is the nature of this short tournament, in which taking the juggernaut London Knights to overtime still leaves a team with no points in the standings. Moncton should bring more desperation into tonight’s match than the Medicine Hat Tigers who already have a win, but we’ll see how that all plays out on the ice.
