Leon Draisaitl was part of a weekend trend of players on Canadian team putting the winning goal into their own nets. His own goal came in devastating fashion with 0.4 seconds left in regulation.
It wasn’t the only poor play the 2024-25 Rocket Richard Trophy-winner made in the game, even if he did also record two assists. With Stuart Skinner still needing to play with Calvin Pickard out, the Oilers can’t afford to make life even more difficult for their goaltender than it already is. Draisaitl has been one of the best players in both the regular and post-season in terms of five-on-five goal differential, so expect him to regain his usual form in a pivotal Game 4.
