Toronto’s core has been playing well in the second round and, critically, getting a lot of help from the likes of former Montreal Canadiens forwards Max Pacioretty and Max Domi. Thanks to those two, the Maple Leafs took a lead into the third period of Game 2, and a quick trade of goals between Anton Lundell and Mitch Marner preserved the result for Toronto.
The two teams have travelled to Florida to contest the next two games. Toronto has its sights set on winning at least one of the games in Sunrise, but if their scoring depth holds up they will have a shot at both.
Central Division Final Game 2: Winnipeg Jets vs. Dallas Stars

New series, same Mikko Rantanen, who put together the incredible accomplishment of back-to-back hat tricks between Game 7 versus the Colorado Avalanche and the opener versus Winnipeg. At this point the Jets will just need to find a way to outscore his line, so a 4-3 or 5-4 result may be their only path to victory.
The Jets have the ability to hit such a score, and did post four goals on three occasions versus the Stars in the regular season. Perhaps the home crowd can inspire the team to another such performance before sending it off to Texas.
