The tournament hasn’t gone the way Owen Beck and the Peterborough Petes had hoped, and now they face a must-win situation to qualify for the tiebreaker game.
What they will have to do is beat the best of the four teams in the event. The Quebec Remparts have won their first two games in different ways, first showing off their offensive talents in an 8-3 win over Kamloops on the first day, and then a stifling defensive effort versus a very good Seattle team on Monday night. The Petes need to find a way to solve the QMJHL champions that the other two teams – the ones that Peterborough has lost to already – could not.
