After getting through the first period, Carey Price did not come back to the ice to begin the second, with Jake Allen taking over between the pipes.

Price did have two different hard contacts in the first period, first getting his head bumped by Alex Chiasson on a goal that was eventually waved off for goaltender interference, then taking a shot off the collarbone on a power play late in the period.

We’ll update this story as we learn more about the situation, and whetehr it’s related to one of these two events.

UPDATE:

UPDATE 2

Carey Price will be out for the remainder of the week as he remains in concussion protocol, interim head coach Dominique Ducharme announced on Tuesday. It was the second game Price played after missing time with a lower-body injury.

Cayden Primeau is on the team’s taxi squad and will be the second goalie for the remainder of the trip.
