The Dispatch returns with its latest episode. Today, we take a look at some of the top 2021 NHL draft picks coming out of Sweden with Tomas Montén, the country’s WJC coach.

Among the players looked at are:

  • Simon Edvinsson, Frölunda’s new talented defender.
  • Oskar Olausson, a young forward that has earned some time in the SHL this season with HV71.
  • William Eklund, Djurgården’s top end forward that is one of the players that could go number one.
  • Fabian Lysell, he swapped Frölunda for Luleå midseason, why?
  • Simon Robertsson, a forward from Skellefteå.
  • Jesper Wallstedt, the top end goalie of the draft?

Mr. Montén gives us his thoughts on the prospects and explains some of the troubles that the players has faced this year, with injuries, illnesses and no junior leagues to play in. He is frank, analytical and gives a first insight of what the Swedish draft class offers up in regards to talent.
