The minor injury Josh Anderson sustained when his legs were swept from under him in Winnpeg was initially reported as a minor issue, however tonight will be the third consecutive game he sits out, keeping one of Montreal’s best offensive players out of action. Yet the team’s gradual turnaround in that same span has happened without him as the other players on the teamget comfortable in a more effective offensive system. Tyler Toffoli has stepped into Anderson’s spot well, with 10 shots in the two games played beside Nick Suzuki, even though he has just one goal to show for them.

Carey Price’s off-ice rehabilitation is more a technical one than a physical one, and he’ll get another night off as a new goalie coach works in some adjustments to his game. It will be Jake Allen, who wasn’t tested much in a dominant effort from the players in front of him in his last start, who takes the crease versus that same opponent once more.

Can the Habs get some more of the shots they’ve been piling up in recent games to go in? Will the power play continue its rapid progression? Or will Connor Hellebuyck turn in another great performance and keep everything locked down?
