With a bad month behind them and a hectic schedule laid out in front of them, the Canadiens can only be focused on the present. Despite their difficulties in February, the club is still clinging to a playoff spot on the North Division, and seeing some of the teams around them falter over the Habs’ two-day break should have sent the message that there is still time to turn things around.

Dominique Ducharme will trust Carey Price to make that happen this evening, giving him the start versus a rapidly improving young Senators club that has won four of its last five games, including two extra-time decisions over the Canadiens.

Perhaps the Habs get a bit of a break as they don’t have to face Matt Murray, who turned aside plenty of Canadiens chances in previous games, at the other end. Instead Joey Daccord comes in for the second half of the Sens’ back-to-back, and the Montreal offence that was buzzing in Winnipeg needs to zero in on him to have better success tonight.
