Dealing with injuries for much of the season, the Montreal Canadiens announced another one today: Shea Weber has been placed on the Injured Reserve list. Jeff Petry has been moved to the top pair for tonight’s game — a position he’s become used to with several injuries to Weber in recent years — and the move also gave Xavier Ouellet a chance to join the main team.

In addition to injuries, the Canadiens are also dealing with the flu. Ryan Poehling has been ruled out with the illness, while Tomas Tatar may also be sidelined tonight. Potentially needing a forward, it was Jake Evans who got the call in case his services are required.

There aren’t many decisions to be made on the opposite side. The Ducks have all their top options available, including team points leader Ryan Getzlaf, even if that top total is only 35 points. He and his teammates will be looking to take advantage of Montreal’s weakened state to get another win on their road trip.
