In the second period of the game between the Montreal Canadiens and Detroit Red Wings, Victor Mete blocked a point shot that appeared to go right off his ankle bone.

He was supported as he skated to the bench, and is unable to return to the game.
Victor Mete ne reviendra pas au jeu ce soir (bas du corps).

Victor Mete will not return tonight (lower-body).#GoHabsGo
Mete was playing on the third pairing with Xavier Ouellet in the first game of Shea Weber’s return, after spending a few contests with Ben Chiarot in the top-four. We’ll likely hear more about the severity of the injury in the coming days.
Montreal’s next game is Thursday against the Washington Capitals.
