The flu is still making its way around the Montreal locker room, and its latest host is Nate Thompson, who is listed as a game-time decision. If Claude Julien was planning to sit Jake Evans for the game tonight, the rookie forward may instead get a turn at the centre position on the fourth line in what would be his fifth NHL game.

The Penguins’ formation has added a player rather than subtracting one. Jason Zucker will be playing his second game with his new team after being acquired from the Minnesota Wild (for a package including former Hab Alex Galchenyuk), and playing on Sidney Crosby’s flank is surely a good opportunity for him to net his first point with the club.

Montreal’s defence will be hard-pressed to stop him and the rest of the Penguins’ solid top-six forwards, and they’ll need a better showing out of Jeff Petry than the promoted number-one was able to accomplish on Wednesday versus Boston.

UPDATE: Evans will play as the fourth line’s right-winger. Nick Cousins moves up to the third line to play with Max Domi and Jonathan Drouin.
