Montreal Canadiens captain Shea Weber will miss 4-6 weeks due to an ankle sprain, the team announced on Wednesday.
The injury happened against New Jersey Devils on the February 4. In order to get a good evaluation of the injury the swelling had to go down and Weber travelled to Green Bay in Wisconsin to be evaluated by orthopedic specialist, Dr. Robert Anderson.

Weber's absence will mean that the captain will miss the part of the season that will decide the team's fate and he will return after the Trade Deadline on February 24.
Weber's spot on the right side has been filled by Victor Mete and Xavier Ouellet has solidified himself as the team's sixth defenceman.
