For the third time today, the Montreal Canadiens elected to trade their draft selection and defer into 2021. This time they received back their own 2021 7th round pick that was dealt to the Chicago Blackhawks in the Andrew Shaw trade.
With the amount of times they traded picks into next year, it seems that Bergevin and company just didn’t like what was out there on their turns, and elected to wait until next year.
And so ends the 2020 draft for the Montreal Canadiens.
