Breaking away on a three-on-two, Phillip Danault and his linemates gained the offensive zone, with Tomas Tatar having to corral the puck to Henrik Lundqvist’s left. But his teammates kept on their path to the front of the goal, and Tatar spun and fired the puck just past Danault’s stick but right onto Brendan Gallagher’s for the alternate captain’s 28th of the year.
