New, comments

The Canadiens were the better team for much of the game, but couldn’t convert it into goals.

Pregame

  • Nemi in goal, I thought he needed a month of rest after that 52-save game.

First Period

  • Open net, but the post saves the Canadiens.
  • Charles Hudon is in the team and an almost wrap around seconds later.
  • Some very good play from Canadiens early.
  • Jeff Petry with the best chance for the home team so far.
  • Big save by Carter Hart on Chaputs wrister!!!
  • It is Hart vs the Habs, 10-1 Montreal in shots.
  • Petry in the sweeper role, and gets the puck off Lindbom’s stick.

Second Period

  • Montreal starts the second period as they finished the first, with a lot of speed.
  • 16-1 in shots, but the important stat says 0-0.
  • Kotkaniemi to the sin bin.
  • Good defensive play by Charles Hudon.
  • Power Play Montreal. Sorry I meant PowerKill™️.
  • Konecny with the opening goal, after another dread full power play from Montreal.
  • On a delayed penalty Flyers makes it 2-0.

Third Period

  • Drouin to the box. Montreal started with two icings and now they are a man down. Not the start Montreal needed in the third.
  • Fourth icing in less than four minutes.
  • 3-0 Bad Guys.
  • 3-1 Max Domi! Game on!
  • Big Save from the Philly keeper.
  • Nolan Patrick with his second of the night, and this time its good night Canadiens.
  • Kulak with a consolation goal, 4 minutes to go.
  • Nemi leaves his net with tons of time left...
  • ... and its 5-2 Flyers.
