Switzerland will be the first team to wrap up its preliminary round slate, playing its fourth game against Russia this evening. The Swiss have already done enough to secure a spot in the quarter-finals, with Denmark unable to pass them in their last game tomorrow.

They can thank Philipp Kurashev for that playoff berth. The centreman is tied for the tournament lead with five goals, netting a hat trick in yesterday’s game versus Denmark to secure three massive points.

He will be the player to watch for Russia today, and if their match against the Czech Republic was any indiation, Alexander Romanov won’t be shying away from a physical approach on the Swiss star. Romanov has been one the best all-around defencemen in the tournament, and will be making an impact in all three zone tonight.
