2019 World Junior Hockey Championship schedule: December 30, 2018

Group A Preliminary Game

8 PM ET: Russia vs Switzerland

Russia is on a collision course for Canada to determine the winner of Group A, but they will have to get through a matchup with the pesky Swiss first. Russia had closer games than they would have liked against Denmark and the Czech Republic but sit at 2-0-0 with two regulation wins. Switzerland is coming off of their first win at the tournament against Denmark, and will look to put a scare in Russia like they did against the Czech Republic and Canada. It is their final round robin game. The game will be shown on TSN2 and RDS2 in Canada and NHL Network in the USA.

Group B Preliminary Game

10:30 PM ET: Slovakia vs Kazakhstan

This game will likely determine who will face Denmark in the relegation round. Slovakia has had tough games against Finland, Sweden and the United States but have nothing to show for it. Kazakhstan has had a tough time in this tournament, but probably had closer games than many expected them to have against Sweden and the United States but this is the game they would have had circled on their calendar for the round robin portion of the tournament. The game will be on TSN2 and RDS2 in Canada, NHL Network in the US.

All games shown on TSN will be streamed on TSN Go in Canada, but it requires a subscription to TSN.
