2019 IIHF World Championship schedule: May 26, 2019

Bronze medal game

9:45 AM ET: Russia (1st, Pool B) vs Czech Republic (2nd, Pool B)

Russia will undoubtedly be more disappointed to be in this game than the Czech Republic. The Russians lost their first game of the tournament in the semi-final, 1-0 to Finland. How motivated they are for this game will go a long way in deciding it. The Czechs had a rough game against Canada, but will look to get something to show for their strong tournament.

The game will be shown on TSN 2 and RDS 2 in Canada and NHL Network in the USA.

Gold medal game

2:15 PM ET: Canada (1st, Pool A) vs Finland (2nd, Pool A)

Canada has not lost a game since their tournament opener against Finland, and now they face off again for the gold medal. The big difference is that Canada has added depth. Tyson Jost and Pierre-Luc Dubois weren’t in the lineup, and Canada has developed a strong chemistry. Finland is the underdog, and beating Russia was a huge feat for them. Goaltender Kevin Lankinen and captain Marko Anttila have been huge in the playoff round for the Finns, and they will need another strong performance from the duo.

The game will be shown on TSN 1,4,5 and RDS in Canada and NHL Network in the USA.

All games shown on TSN will be streamed on TSN Direct in Canada, but it requires a subscription.
