2019 IIHF World Championship schedule: May 25, 2019

Semi-finals

9:15 AM ET: Russia (1st, Pool B) vs Finland (2nd, Pool A)

Russia had a bit more difficulty than many would have expected against the United States in their 4-3 victory. Mikhail Sergachev had a goal and two assists for the Russians, and Andrei Vasilevskiy made 29 saves. For Finland, a last minute equalizer and overtime win over Sweden puts them in this position. They outshot the Swedes 32-18. Kevin Lankinen made 14 saves.

The game will be shown on TSN 1,3,4 and RDS 2 in Canada and NHL Network in the USA.

1:15 PM ET: Canada (1st, Pool A) vs Czech Republic (2nd, Pool B)

Canada, like Finland, needed a last second (literally) goal to send the game to overtime where Mark Stone won it against Switzerland. They will get Anthony Mantha back for this game after he served his suspension in the quarterfinal. The Czechs were the only team to win their quarterfinal by more than one goal, a 5-1 win over Germany. Jan Kovar had two goals and added an assist.

The game will be shown on TSN 1,3,4 and RDS in Canada and NHL Network in the USA.

All games shown on TSN will be streamed on TSN Direct in Canada, but it requires a subscription.
