2019 IIHF World Championship schedule: May 14, 2019

Group A Preliminary Games

10:15 AM ET: Great Britain (0-0-0-2, 0 pts) vs Denmark (0-1-0-1, 2 pts)

It hasn’t exactly been a storybook start to the tournament for Great Britain but they have faced tough opponents in Germany and Canada. Denmark poses a bit less of a threat but you can never count the Danes out. If Great Britain wants to stay in the top division, they need to start collecting points.

The game will be shown on TSN 1/4 in Canada and NHL Network in the USA.

2:15 PM ET: Germany (2-0-0-0, 6 pts) vs France (0-0-1-1, 1 pt)

Germany has beaten Denmark and Great Britain to open their tournament and now face a French team that also lost to Denmark in a shootout. These are two teams that will be battling against relegation, and Germany’s start shows they may have a chance to reach the quarterfinals.

The game will be shown on TSN 1/4/5 and RDS in Canada.

Group B Preliminary Games

10:15 AM ET: Italy (0-0-0-2, 0 pts) vs Latvia (1-0-0-1, 3 pts)

Italy has had a tough start to the tournament a year after being promoted to the top division. They will be facing a Latvian team that will be looking to sneak into the quarterfinals.

The game will be on TSN 4/5 and RDS in Canada.

2:15 PM ET: Switzerland (2-0-0-0, 6 pts) vs Austria (0-0-0-2, 0 pts)

Switzerland has gotten off to a good start in this tournament led by Nico Hischier and Kevin Fiala. Austria has struggled to date, and will look to get as many points as possible as the tournament rolls along.

The game will be on TSN 1 in Canada and NHL Network in the USA.

All games shown on TSN will be streamed on TSN Go in Canada, but it requires a subscription to TSN.
