What’s Habening: The 2018 Prospect Pyramid

New, comments

The rookie tournament is over, and the pre-season starts next week, so naturally it’s time to rank the prospects!

As you all know, the Top 25 Under 25 series came to a close just a few weeks ago, and, as always, there was a spirited debate on how to rank the players available. Naturally, I decided to take a second crack at prospect rankings like I did last year, with a few slight tweaks to the methodology.

First and foremost, no full-time NHL players were included in the prospect pyramid, but they are noted in the video itself overall. Besides that omission, every prospect under the Montreal Canadiens’ banner, from AHL deals all the way up to newly signed players were included in the listing.

See where the newly acquired Nick Suzuki lands, or where the influx of new AHL players slots among the depth in the video below.

Agree? Disagree? Mad at the way I pronounced a player’s name? Let us see your own prospect pyramid in the comments!
