Washington Capitals vs. Vegas Golden Knights

How to watch

Puck Drop: 8:00 PM EDT / 5:00 PM PDT
In Canada: CBC, Sportsnet, Sportsnet Now (English), TVA Sports (French)
In the USA: NBCSN
Online: Rogers NHL Live/NHL.tv

Each team had led on two occasions in Game 1 with the score at 4-4 early in the third period. At the halfway mark of the final frame, the Golden Knights went ahead once again, and held on long enough to score an empty-netter in an entertaining 6-4 contest.

It was the third time in the post-season that Vegas kicked off a series with a win, and for the Capitals it means they are playing from behind, as they have at some point in every series so far.

Washington will try to avoid falling into an 0-2 hole; something they’ve already tempted fate with once in this post-season. Vegas can move to within two wins of a Stanley Cup should they be able to repeat Monday’s performance.
