Victor Mete did not return to the Montreal Canadiens’ bench to start the second period. The team has announced he will not be back tonight.

Victor Mete will not return tonight.
RDS showed a clip from the first period of him flexing his finger while speaking with head athletic therapist Graham Rynbend. Hopefully it is a minor injury and the rookie defenceman won’t miss significant time.
UPDATE: Unfortunately, it does appear to be fairly serious, forcing Mete to head back to Montreal rather than flying with the team to Boston.
