Canadiens vs. Rangers: Game thread, rosters, lines, and how to watch

With several stars either shut down or held out of the lineup, it will be two very unfamiliar rosters battling each other tonight. The tank is officially on for both teams.

Rick Nash and Michael Grabner will both be healthy scratches as the New York Rangers attempt to shield them from injury before the trade deadline. There were rumours surrounding both, and now there’s little doubt that the team is attempting to convert them into future assets before 5:00 PM EST on Monday.

Carey Price is out indefinitely with a concussion, which necessitated the recall of Charlie Lindgren from the AHL. He will be on the bench tonight as Antti Niemi gets the call in goal for the first time since being pulled versus the Vegas Golden Knights on February 17.

Shea Weber has been shut down for the season, needing foot surgery that will prevent him from playing any more games in 2017-18. It means the chance to see a first NHL game from Noah Juulsen for Montreal Canadiens fans, and he’ll be the one to watch tonight.
