Injury update: Paul Byron will remain out during the Canadiens’ road trip

Already missing one game, Byron has been ruled out for at least the next three.

The Montreal Canadiens are battling for what could be top spot in the Eastern Conference today (depending on how the Boston Bruins fare) in their final game of the current homestand. Unfortunately, they will be without the services of Paul Byron once again, and will be for the next few games as well.

Byron was unable to finish the second period in Tuesday’s game versus the Dallas Stars, and did not play in the comeback win versus the Washington Capitals two days ago.

The Canadiens will use the same lineup that earned that 6-4 win on Thursday in tonight’s game. They were able to compensate quite admirably for the loss of Byron with a balanced offensive attack, and will need to do the same for at least the next week of action.

In other news, Tomas Plekanec is also skating again with the team. Perhaps his return isn’t far away.
