Bronze Medal game

4 PM ET: USA vs Czech Republic

While both teams will be disappointed to play for the bronze medal, there is no denying that the Czech Republic will be the happier of the two teams. In a bronze medal game, sometimes that is enough, but we can’t forget that the United States will be playing at home.

This game features some of the top scorers in the entire tournament, and both teams pulled their goaltenders in their semi-final losses meaning that the goaltending decisions could also be interesting heading into the game.

The Czech Republic has not won a medal since a bronze in 2005 when the tournament was held in North Dakota. The game will be on TSN 1/3/4/5 and RDS in Canada. NHL Network in the US will also show the game.

Gold Medal game

8 PM ET: Canada vs Sweden

The two top teams in the tournament fittingly face off for the gold medal. Sweden, for all their success, has only won gold at this tournament twice - in 2012 and in 1981. They also have not medalled since back-to-back silver medals in 2013 and 2014. They have not lost a game at this tournament.

Canada has a history of success at this tournament, winning it 16 times, most recently in 2015 and they won silver last year after not medalling in 2016. Canada’s only loss was in the outdoor game against the United States, in a shootout.

This game will feature two of the top goaltenders in the tournament. Carter Hart (4-0-1,  1.97 GAA, .917%) for Canada and Filip Gustavsson (4-0-0, 1.77 GAA, .924%) of Sweden.

Sweden’s top line of Lias Andersson, Elias Pettersson, and Alexander Nylander all have seven points, while 2018 top prospect Rasmus Dahlin has six. For Canada, they are led by Jordan Kyrou (nine points), Drake Batherson (seven goals) and defender Cale Makar (3G, 5A) The game will be on TSN 1/4 and RDS in Canada. NHL Network in the USA will show the game.

All games shown on TSN will be streamed on TSN Go in Canada, but it requires a subscription to TSN.
