Group A Preliminary Games
10:15 AM ET: Switzerland (1-1-1-0, 6 pts, 3rd) vs Belarus (0-0-0-3, 0 pts, 8th)
Belarus lost their first three games and fired their head coach Dave Lewis. Sergei Pushkov, who was Lewis’s assistant, will take over for the rest of the tournament. Not all is lost for Belarus as are only one point out of safety. Switzerland lost in a shootout to the Czech Republic yesterday.
The game will be shown on TSN 1, 4 and RDS in Canada and NHL Network in the USA.
2:15 PM ET: Sweden (3-0-0-0, 9 pts, T-1st) vs Austria (0-0-1-2, 1 pt, 7th)
Sweden has yet to lose in the tournament, and is battling with Russia for top spot in the group. Jacob de la Rose is averaging 13:22 per game for the Swedes but has yet to earn a point. Austria will be in tough with Belarus to stay alive in the top division and lost to Slovakia yesterday.
The game will be shown on TSN 1 in Canada.
Group B Preliminary Games
10:15 AM ET: Germany (0-0-2-1, 2 pts, T-6th) vs South Korea (0-0-0-3, 0 pts, 8th)
South Korea has been outscored 23-1 in three games and lost 5-0 to Latvia on Monday. Germany has lost twice in extra time as they battle for position in the quarterfinals. Markus Eisenschmid is averaging 13:42 per game for the Germans.
The game will be on TSN 5 in Canada.
2:15 PM ET: Finland (3-0-0-0, 9 pts, 1st) vs Denmark (0-1-0-2, 2 pts, T-6th)
Finland is continuing to dominate opponents in the tournament and have outscored their opponents 23-2 in three games. They are in the drivers seat in Group B but have yet to play the two teams behind them in the United States and Canada. The host Danes have struggled so far, but will add Mikkel Boedker and Jannik Hansen from the San Jose Sharks.
The game will be on TSN 3 and RDS in Canada and NHL Network in the United States.
All games shown on TSN will be streamed on TSN Go in Canada, but it requires a subscription to TSN. NHL Network in the US will be showing games as well, but listings did not always confirm which games will be shown.
