The Montreal Canadiens traded for a seventh-round pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft — their own assigned pick originally traded one year ago to be able to select Cayden Fleury at the tail end of the 2017 Draft.
For the second year in a row, they found a partner in the Philadephia Flyers to make the deal, parting with their seventh-round selection for the next year’s’ draft to get their 2017 one back.
