Frölunda Hockey has become synonymous with talent development, and at the helm of it all is head coach Roger Rönnberg.

Coach Rönnberg was gracious enough to grant Eyes on the Prize an interview to discuss one of the latest Montreal Canadiens draft picks: Joni Ikonen. Ikonen will be looking to follow the path of another Finn from the Frölunda ranks, Artturi Lehkonen, in a few years’ time. Rönnberg gives a frank assessment on what Ikonen needs to work on in order to make that happen.

We also speak a little bit on the development of players within Frölunda, as six players were selected at the 2017 NHL Entry Draft out of the Frölunda system, as well as another who grew up in the Frölunda dressing room: Lias Andersson.

You can listen to the full interview below.
