Canadiens vs. Senators: Game thread, rosters, lines, and how to watch

It's the same story from a week ago between these two teams.

NHL: Ottawa Senators at Montreal Canadiens Jean-Yves Ahern-USA TODAY Sports

The Montreal Canadiens and the Ottawa Senators are back to where they were just one week ago. Despite beating the Senators twice last weekend to extend their lead on them to four points, the Canadiens have once again seen their nearest opponent — both geographically and standings wise — close the gap to that same single point edge they had this time last week, still with a game in hand. Therefore once again, the game between these new rivals will have first place in the Atlantic Division on the line.

With two disappointing efforts against teams outside of the playoffs on home ice, a bounce-back performance is absolutely necessary for the Canadiens. They will face a Senators teams that is riding high on victories against Boston and Pittsburgh, and the Senators seem much more prepared going into this game.

The Canadiens can expect a more challenging fight from the Senators tonight, as they will be hungrier than ever to take over the first-place spot. The Senators will also welcome Mark Stone back into the lineup, he who missed last weekend's two-game set.

Puck Drop is 7:00 PM EDT / 4:00 PM PDT
