Canadiens vs. Blackhawks: Game thread, rosters, lines and how to watch

New, comments

The Canadiens are back in Montreal to take on one of the NHL’s best teams.

Are we in for another come-from-behind victory tonight?

Depending on how you look at it, the Canadiens have either been playing with fire or putting on heroic, character-laden performances of late, most recently in Edmonton where the Habs came back late from a 1-0 deficit to take the game 4-1.

While the Canadiens were able to rack up six of eight points on the road-trip from which they return tonight, the manner in which they did so leaves a lot to be desired. However, while the Habs’ offensive struggles continue to shine, their defensive structure and Carey Price’s incredible return to form may be shining equally as bright, if not brighter at this point.

The Blackhawks are once again one of the top teams in the NHL as the season enters its final stretch. At just one point back of the Central Division lead currently held at 92 points by the Minnesota Wild, the Blackhawks have recently made a push to win the Division after putting together a seven-game winning streak in February.

At practice this morning, it was hinted that Nathan Beaulieu will be a healthy scratch tonight in place of Brandon Davidson. Tomas Plekanec also appears to have recovered from injury and will be back in the lineup. The player selected to come out to make room for his return is Michael McCarron.

Puck Drop is 7:30 PM EST / 4:30 PM PST
