Canadiens vs. Canucks: Game thread, rosters, lines, and how to watch

The Vancouver Canucks have been dealing with a large number of injuries recently. It appeared yesterday that they would be without their top three goal-scorers for their home matchup with the Montreal Canadiens .

Fortunately for them, Brock Boeser’s injury isn’t nearly as bad as previously thought, and rather than missing significant time, the rookie will be a game-time decision for tonight’s game.

The potential surprise return of a skilled player puts more pressure on the Canadiens defence, who weren’t so lucky with their injury issues. Shea Weber is dealing with a foot injury, apparently sustained in the first game of the season, that has failed to heal and now has the team’s number-one defenceman sidelined indefinitely. Tonight will be the first test for this defence corps now led by Jeff Petry; one that is down to just six members.
