2017 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs: Live stream and schedule for Penguins vs Capitals

Washington Capitals at Pittsburgh Penguins (PIT leads series 3-2)

Game five did not go as planned for the Penguins, as the Capitals dominated the play at both ends of the rink. They pushed the series to a sixth game thanks to goals from Andre Burakovsky, Nicklas Backstrom, Evgeny Kuznetsov, and Alex Ovechkin.

If we’re being honest, the Capitals probably don’t deserve to be down 3-2 in this series, given that they’ve carried the majority of the play, but seeing as the Penguins are their kryptonite it’s not an overly surprising situation.

Despite allowing several goals in game five, Marc-Andre Fleury has been excellent throughout the playoffs, producing a .930 save percentage in the process, but he’ll need to play his best hockey if he hopes to keep a surging Capitals team at bay. As for the Capitals, they’ll need more from Braden Holtby if they hope to continue their springtime hockey run.

Puck Drop is 7:30 PM EDT / 4:30 PM PDT
