Washington Capitals vs. Pittsburgh Penguins (Series tied 3-3)
When Game Four came to an end, with the Penguins having taken the win to go up 3-1 in the series, it looked to be the latest chapter in a long history of disappointing early exits for the Washington Capitals. Now one week later, the Capitals have gotten back on even terms, and have set up a showdown for a spot in the third round to inch closer to that elusive Stanley Cup.
While the Penguins were outplayed in the last two matches, their roster is stacked with talent than can easily outscore their opposition, even if the Capitals are able to control the play as they have in the majority of the series. You can never count a team with Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby out of a game, and the Capitals surely won’t be taking those superstars lightly tonight.
In net it’s a battle between Braden Holtby and Marc-Andre Fleury, each able to steal a game for his team, each having had their struggles at various times in the series. The deciding factor in the the game could very well be which of these netminders is able to keep it all together.

Anaheim Ducks vs. Edmonton Oilers (Series tied 3-3)
Goals have been the theme of the Pacific Division Final, with one team scoring at least four goals in five of the six games played so far, with both sides posting at least six in a contest as well.
The Oilers were the latest to experience that offensive explosion, getting key contributions from Leon Draisaitl and Mark Letestu in a 7-1 victory to keep their season alive. The rout snapped a three-game win streak for the Ducks and sends them into Game Seven as the more confident group.
The Ducks will be hoping Ryan Getzlaf can keep his strong series going for one final game and get Anaheim a rare win in the ultimate game of a series. He and his teammates will have the home crowd on their side as they attempt to set a date with the Nashville Predators in the Western Conference Final.
