2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs: Open thread, live stream for Predators/Blues & Ducks/Oilers

St. Louis Blues vs. Nashville Predators (NSH leads 3-1)

It was Ryan Ellis’ time to shine on Tuesday night, as the Predators took a stranglehold on their series versus the Blues. Ellis currently has a seven-game point streak, and leads  all Nashville skaters in points, with nine. Pekka Rinne’s .953 is the best save percentage in the playoffs, a surprising number for a goaltender that has struggled at times during recent years.

It’s do or die for the Blues as the series shifts back to St. Louis. They’ll probably be without the services of leading scorer Alex Steen, following a blocked shot in game four that left him in crutches and a walking boot.

Anaheim Ducks vs. Edmonton Oilers (Series tied 2-2)

Can anyone stop Connor McDavid? The answer may be Ryan Getzlaf.

The veteran forward is currently scoring at will, and sits second in playoff scoring with 13 points in nine games. His seven goals are also second in the NHL, behind Jake Guentzel’s eight. Getzlaf isn’t the only Ducks forward finding success in the playoffs, as former Ottawa Senator Jakob Silfverberg also has seven goals.
