Les Canadiennes have announced the dates of their five pre-season games before their season opener on October 15 against the Brampton Thunder.

The team will get their first game action underway this Friday, September 9 at McConnell Arena against the McGill Martlets. The game will be at 7:00 p.m.

Montreal will also play two games against the University of Montreal and one against the Concordia Stingers. They also play one exhibition game against the Quebec Under-18 team at the Etienne-Desmarteau arena, their usual home rink.

This is a similar schedule to last year when they also played against the city’s university teams. The game against Concordia is always interesting as Stingers head coach Julie Chu plays for Les Canadiennes.

Last year, Chu suited up in a scrimmage against Concordia when she was the acting head coach.

Here is the complete schedule for the pre-season:

Date Time Opponent Arena
Friday Sept 9 7:00 p.m. vs McGill McConnell Arena
Friday Sept 16 7:00 p.m. vs University of Montreal CEPSUM
Friday Sept 30 7:30 p.m. vs Concordia Ed Meagher Arena
Sunday Oct 2 2:30 p.m. vs Quebec Under-18 Etienne Desmarteau Arena
Thursday Oct 6 7:00 p.m. vs University of Montreal CEPSUM

The team also announced they released goaltender Taylor Hough, meaning there are now four goaltenders at camp. Forwards Ariane Barker and Audrey Morand are not at camp but have not been released.
