Canadiens announce roster for Rookie Camp

The Montreal Canadiens announced the roster for the upcoming rookie tournament in London, Ontario, as well as the subsequent rookie training camp in Brossard.

27 players will take part, including six tryouts. The schedule for the rookies includes initial physicals and an on-ice practice session in Brossard on September 15th, then the three day tournament in London from September 16th to the 18th, and finally a return to Brossard for more on-ice sessions until the 21st.

As expected Zachary Fucale, Michael McNiven, and Charlie Lindgren will be the goalies to take part in the tournament.

Five of the six players selected in the 2016 draft will take part including Mikhail Sergachev, Will Bitten, Arvid Henrikson, Victor Mete, Michael Pezzetta. Casey Staum will not attend because of NCAA regulations. For the same reason players like Jake Evans, Nikolas Koberstein, and Hayden Hawkey will also not participate.

Other notable omissions include Tim Bozon who is with Team France who are playing several Olympic qualification games in August and September. Mark MacMillan and Josiah Didier are also absent.
