Let me be the first to say that I would very much prefer to not see Milan Lucic in a Montreal Canadiens jersey. That being said, Marc Bergevin has cap space to work with, and Lucic is one of the bigger names available when the market opens tomorrow. According to Pierre LeBrun, the Habs are in on him.
Interest sky high in Milan Lucic. Told that Montreal among the many teams showing interest. Edm, Van, Dallas, etc. No shortage of interest

To be clear, LeBrun is saying that there is a lot of interest, and Montreal is just one of the teams. So there really is no telling how likely it is that he would come to the Habs, especially considering his tumultuous history playing against the club. But let's not forget...
Keep in mind, track record for Marc Bergevin is to look into almost everything...

And now that Steven Stamkos is off the board, there is a very good chance that whoever signs Lucic will be paying a hefty price, perhaps even more than they should. This is something that the Canadiens should definitely avoid, even though they have quite a bit of cap space.
In any case, for now it is just a report, and something that we will have to keep an eye on tomorrow.
