Wow. I will forever struggle to wrap my head around this one. P.K. Subban is out, and the Canadiens have acquired Shea Weber in return. It seemed that Subban was safe after the draft came and went. But then, Marc Bergevin shocked the hockey world today when we learned that he had traded Subban for Shea Weber of the Nashville Predators.
One for One. PK Subban for Shea Weber. #tvasports

I was of the opinion that this would never happen, and I am in shock. I opined that it would never happen, so I suppose today is the day that I eat my words. I do not like this trade at all on the surface, and it will take me some time to come to terms with it. Weber is older, and headed for decline much sooner than Subban.
This is a terrible trade, and one that will set the franchise back for a long, long time in my opinion.
Obviously, we will have more analysis on this trade coming very soon today.
