The Canadiens have been pretty active in this draft so far. Two trades before the second overall pick was even announced, and they still aren't done. They traded their seventh-round pick for 2017 to the Winnipeg Jets to get the 187th pick this year, and took Arvid Henrikson
It seems that they had coveted Henrikson, because they very randomly got that pick at the last second. It may be that they were watching him fall, and took the opportunity to move back into the round and take him. I don't know much about him as a player, but the Habs obviously had their eye on him.
This was very unexpected, so we naturally do not have a ready profile. Again, we will have more coming very soon, so stay tuned. Who knows, maybe the Habs will shock us all with another random trade for the last pick or something.
