Well, the elephant is no longer in the room. The Montreal Canadiens have announced that Carey Price and P.K. Subban will not return from their injuries in the team's final two games.

We were also finally given more details on Carey Price's injury. He suffered an MCL sprain on November 25 as well as confirmation that this injury was not related to his first injury suffered against Edmonton.

As for Subban, he suffered a neck injury when he fell awkwardly against the Buffalo Sabres. He was taken off on stretcher and sent to hospital but was released the next morning.

The team also confirmed that Victor Bartley (groin/broken foot), Mark Barberio (concussion) and Lucas Lessio (knee) will also miss the remaining two games.
