With the success that Montreal Canadiens prospect has in the SHL and the SHL playoffs this season, he seems a probable late addition to the Finnish national team for the World Championships in Moscow and St. Petersburg according to Finnish journalist Pekka Jalonen who writes for the Finnish paper Iltalehti.
When I asked him about a possible selection to the Finnish team we got this reply.
@Zeb_Habs I asked coach Jalonen about Lehkonen. He said they wanted to take him to Moscow now but Artturi didn´t have a visa to Russia. 1/2

@Zeb_Habs 2/2 Jalonen said Artturi is tired but they´ll decide this week what to do.. Option is to take him straight to St.Petersburg.

With the playoffs, and celebrations having just finished it is understandable that Lehkonen is in need for some rest before taking on the next big challenge. The Visa issue might just give him that time so that he can be ready for the World Championships in Russia.
The tournament begins May 6 and we will have all of your coverage of the tournament at EOTP.
