Canadiens vs. Kings third period thread

The Habs still trail 2-1 heading into the third period.

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

The Habs started the second period with a little more energy than they had to start the game, running on adrenaline from the late first period goal scored by P.K. Subban. Mike Brown seemed to be the most amped up, getting involved in a couple of scrums and looking in a constant state of wanting to punch someone.

The rough stuff continued to escalate, with another post-whistle scrum breaking out involving Greg Pateryn and Milan Lucic who were both assessed roughing minors.

The Kings had the Habs number in the first period, but the second was a lot closer, with the Canadiens matching the Kings shot for shot. The possession gap is eight shot attempts in favour of the Kings, however, and with the Habs having one more powerplay in the game.

The third period is up next with the Habs still trailing 2-1.
