Canadiens vs. Lightning Game Thread, roster, lines, and how to watch

The Habs are in Tampa Bay looking for their third win of the season against the Lightning.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Last year heading into the playoffs, there was cause for concern the Habs wouldn't be able to win a series against the Tampa Bay Lightning due to their dismal regular season record against them. The concern proved to be true, with the Habs ousted 4-2 in an emotional series. This year, the Habs are poised to go up 3-0 in the season series, with two games left in the season series including tonight's game in St. Petersburg.

The Habs brought three goalies with them to Florida, with Carey Price on the mend and newly acquired Charlie Lindgren brought immediately onto the big team to get some NHL experience. Mike Condon will get the start tonight after an excellent showing against the Red Wings Tuesday night in which Condon earned his 19th win of the season. Condon is going for his 20th win tonight.

The Lightning are secure in a playoff spot, and are battling the Florida Panthers for the Atlantic Division lead with both teams tied at 93 points, but with the Lightning having the edge in their season series.

Lineup notes: Mike Brown will sit in place of Stefan Matteau who returns to the lineup after being scratched Tuesday; Mike Condon makes his 52nd start of the season.

NHL Draft Lottery Probability: With the win Tuesday, the Habs moved down to a 5% chance of winning the first overall pick, and have eight teams in front of them with better odds of winning the draft lottery with the Edmonton Oilers once again having the greatest chance of picking first overall right now at 20%.

The puck drops at 7:30 PM EDT.
