Canadiens vs. Kings Game Thread, roster, lines, and how to watch

The Habs are in Tinseltown seeking their first win on their west-coast road trip.

Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports

Less than twenty-four hours after forcing the Anaheim Ducks to a shootout, the Habs have headed down Highway 101 the Santa Ana Freeway (thanks DefenseDavinci) to the epicenter of glam and glitz, and are looking to produce their first win on their west coast road trip.

The Habs had a strong effort in Anaheim last night, coming out of the gate firing 25 shot attempts in the first period. Even though the Ducks tried to bully their way to the win, the Habs didn't back down and came very close to handing the Ducks their first loss in nine games.

The Los Angeles Kings are also coming off a loss at the hands of the mighty Ducks: a 4-2 defeat on Sunday which saw the team give up their lead in the third period. They will be well rested, not having played in four days. Milan Lucic and his brethren had their Pacific Division crown stolen after last night's win by the Ducks over the Habs.  They will be eager to regain the throne tonight.

Lineup notes: Ben Scrivens gets the start; Sven Andrighetto is out in place of Mike Brown, as Michel Therrien has decided to infuse his lineup with a little toughness — perhaps a reaction to Michael McCarron dropping the gloves last night, which is something the coaching staff would prefer someone else do in his place.

The puck drops at 10:30 PM EST.
