Canadiens vs. Lightning third period thread

The Habs gave up the tying goal within a minute-played of the second period, with Valterri Filppula benefitting from some sloppy defensive play by the Canadiens and asdfasdfsdf .

The Habs regained the lead six minutes later. Mark Barberio took a low, calculated shot from the point that was deflected by Brendan Gallagher, leading to a buried rebound by Tomas Plekanec who pushed it under Ben Bishop for this eleventh goal of the season, second point of the game and fifth point in the past three games.

Both Nathan Beaulieu and Brian Flynn hobbled off to the dressing room after getting hurt on the penalty kill with around five minutes remaining in the second period. Flynn appeared to have hurt his leg, and Beaulieu took a shot off the back of the leg that looked very painful.

The Habs killed that penalty and earned a powerplay just over a minute later. They fired off five shot attemps and two shots on net, but were not able to convert.

With eight second remaining, P.K. Subban deked his way towards a crowded slot and backhanded a shot off Devante Smith-Pelly to put the Habs up 3-1.

With a couple wins under their belt heading into tonight, the Habs look like a completely different team. Will they be able to hang on and get their third win in a row?
