The Habs opened the second period with a powerplay and spent almost a minute and a half in the offensive zone, but were only good for one shot on net on four shot attempts. The Canadiens continued to grow their lead in possession, having jumped ahead of the Predators at the start of the second period, and by the first commercial timeout of the second period were leading 27-20 CF.
Mike Condon was tested midway through the second period and made a swift glove save to keep it tied. He's been looking stead since allowing a weak goal early in Friday's win against the Flyers.
